I was fortunate enough to serve my country in the United States Navy for six years after high school aboard the USS Enterprise, traveling the world. It allowed me to be exposed to different theories and applications of fitness. Whether it was boxing, weightlifting, running, or meditation, I was interested in trying it out for the sake of my own curiosity. After the military I got accepted into the University of Utah, where I graduated with a B.S. in Exercise and Sport Science. Utah is where I first learned to ski and play golf, who can't get enough of those? Soon after I moved away to pursue a life in Law Enforcement as a Police Officer for the City of Raleigh in North Carolina. Physical fitness was no longer a hobby, but a necessity. CrossFit has enabled me to live a lifestyle that keeps me in the best shape of my life without sacrificing my quality of life, i.e. family and friends. CrossFit offers opportunity and freedom to anyone willing to make a positive change. You don't just participate, you compete everytime you step through the doors, and I don't mean against others, but against yourself.
